WeatherAI provides decoded METARs and TAFs where available, with flight category indicators (VFR, MVFR, IFR, LIFR). Standard and Pro add PIREPs, SIGMETs and AIRMETs, and a turbulence layer on the map, and Pro adds atmospheric soundings. Station coverage depends on the reporting airport and upstream feeds.
How often do METARs update?
Routine METARs are issued hourly. Special METARs (SPECIs) are issued when significant weather changes occur between routine observations.
Can I see flight categories on a map?
Yes, WeatherAI displays color-coded flight category indicators for airports, making it easy to see VFR, MVFR, IFR, and LIFR conditions at a glance.
