Refresh Right From the Home Pill
Tap the "Checked X ago" pill on the Home screen to see exactly when your weather last updated and refresh it on the spot.
- A new menu shows the precise last-updated time
- "Refresh Now" re-fetches your weather data, just like pull-to-refresh
More Helpful In-App Tips
Short, contextual tips now point out features you might have missed as you move through the app.

Forecast Accuracy Improvements
With billions of recorded weather data points, we're rolling out incremental forecast accuracy improvements to our forecast API for all users. This release also includes fixes for users in tropical climates outside the US, where precipitation probability was reading high for most hours of the day.
Better SIGMET Coverage on Radar
SIGMET aviation advisories now draw correctly when they're issued as lines or corridors, not just polygons, so more advisories show up on the map. A single malformed advisory will no longer blank out the entire layer.
Enhanced Privacy
We care a lot about your privacy and want to hold as little information about you as possible. This release brings more tweaks to continue enhancing privacy, especially around location.
Updated Earthquake Fault Lines
The major fault lines and plate boundaries shown on the earthquake map have been updated to better reflect the latest reference data. Tapping a fault line now shows the name of the fault, when available.
Smoother on Mac
WeatherAI on Mac uses noticeably less power and runs more smoothly in the background, along with a number of smaller refinements.
Lightning Improvements
Live lightning rendering and updates have been improved for a faster, more reliable view of nearby strikes.
Reliability & Performance
A broad round of behind-the-scenes work to make the app faster and more dependable.
